A
Department goals
Goals for what a department should achieve. Can be formulated according to the SMART criteria. Goals should be specific, measurable, current, realistic and time-bound.
Agile organization
Agile organizations are highly flexible and are characterized by having highly motivated employees who ensure and take ownership of the organization adapting to expectations and opportunities. The organization can be compared to a living organism that is constantly changing to stay ahead and proactive.
Recognition
Give other people constructive feedback on how they add value.
Settlement conversation
One or more conversations that are conducted in connection with a resignation. Topics for the conversation can be handover of tasks, learning and agreements.
Employment law
Employment agreements are subject to a wide range of rules. Employment law is a collective term for the rules that apply to the relationship between an employer and an employee.
Work management
A manager who has the authority to assign and control work tasks for a group of employees.
Working hours placement
Working hours can be arranged according to a shift schedule, which can include weekends and public holidays. Working hours can also be scheduled on weekdays in a 5-day week. Working hours can also be scheduled in shifts such as 3 shifts or staggered hours.
Asynchronous collaboration
We work together, but at staggered times.

Coaching is about helping people realize and realize their full potential so they can achieve their goals and ambitions.

Efficiency is the process of doing more with less by optimizing and improving the results of a given activity or workflow.
Succession planning
Proactive planning of which existing employee should take over a position if the existing employee leaves. Some companies work with the idea that in certain key positions, there should always be a successor to the person who currently holds the position.
Empowerment
Having control over your own life both on and off the job. To achieve empowerment, you need to take action and work with recognition and self-awareness. Take responsibility for your own development and situation.
Exit conversations
One or more conversations conducted in connection with a resignation. Topics for the conversation can include handover of tasks, learning and agreements.

Permanent employment
Hiring an employee in a permanent position with a fixed salary, fixed working hours and often with the rights and obligations set out in the collective agreement in the area.

Adapts to the situation.
Flextime
Within certain limits, each employee can arrange their own working hours.
Floating workforce
Permanent workers with the traditional career path are being replaced by freelancers with looser, project-based contracts.
Remote management

When there is a tendency to hire freelancers, external consultants in flexible and temporary positions rather than permanent employees. In the past, musicians and artists were pretty much the only ones looking for "gigs", which is to say very specific and time-limited tasks.

HR
HR is short for Human Resources and is often used in management and organization to refer to personnel-related tasks such as recruitment, development and administration of staff.
HR cycle
Attraction->Hiring->Development->Retention->A cradle-to-grave employment relationship.
HRIS
Human Resource Information System -> HR system or HR solution such as 2people to facilitate and streamline HR tasks.
HR solution
Software/system/solution that can digitize some or all HR tasks. Supports and digitizes the company's HR tasks and ensures GDPR compliance.

Rest time
All employees in Denmark are subject to the daily and weekly rest period rules. The rules are also known as the 11-hour rule and the weekly rest rule. The 11-hour rule means that employees are entitled to 11 consecutive hours of rest within a 24-hour period.
Hybrid work
Being able to work in different locations, from home and in the office. Online and in person.
Hybrid meetings
Meetings where some participants are physically present while others participate online.

Inclusion
Inclusion means to include, to include someone and is the opposite of exclusion - to exclude someone. When people in a group actively and equally participate in common development regardless of differences in prerequisites. The group recognizes each other's relationships.
Interim employment
Temporary employment of e.g. external consultant/freelancer.

Job autonomy
Freedom to perform and organize your own work tasks.

Catalytic converter
The event or person that sets a task in motion, e.g. HR initiates the creation of a new strategy.
Skills
Personal and professional qualities, experience.

Leadership (leadership)
As a rule of thumb, management is; doing things right, while leadership is; doing the right things. Leadership is important for you as a manager to create good results through your employees.
Vacant position
A position that needs to be filled by a new or existing employee.
Lockdown (changes due to)
When society or parts of society shut down and companies have to plan and change the framework, form and content of work as a result.
Lockout
When an employer excludes employees in a conflict.
Payroll system
An IT solution that calculates salary and produces the employee's payslip. In addition to calculating the salary, a modern payroll solution will also handle the reporting to authorities and Statistics Denmark.

Management
Administrative management. Directing and distributing work as part of management rights
Employee self-service
Employees can access and change their own data and documents (e.g. employees can access their employment contract or employment certificate in the company's HR system.
Additional work
An employee who works part-time and works longer, more hours, than the agreed working hours. But within the norm for full-time.
MICE (PUS, GRAVEL, ...)
Performance appraisal is a formalized and structured conversation between an employee and a manager. After the conversation, a follow-up is conducted to ensure that agreed current actions/tasks are completed.
Employee handbook
An employee handbook that describes the policies, rules, guidelines and procedures applicable to employee employment in a specific company.

Onboarding interview (onboarding conversation)

One or more conversations conducted when projects or tasks are handed over from one person to another.
Overtime work
This refers to hours worked in addition to regular working hours that have been imposed by the company's management. Rules for overtime and remuneration are often detailed in the applicable collective agreements.

Breaks
There is a right to breaks if working hours are over 6 hours. The length of the break and the framework for the break must be justified so that the purpose of the break is fulfilled.

Rigid

Recruitment
The process of finding and selecting the right employee for a vacant position.
Remote freelance jobs
Freelancers who work for a client/company remotely, they don't physically show up at the company.
Role model
A person in the organization who can be considered a role model. Role models are often used in the onboarding of new employees or in connection with company acquisitions, when the employees of the acquired company have to learn how to operate in a new culture.

Shade
A successor or additional resource for a key position.
Job postings
A description of a vacancy that needs to be filled by a current or new employee.
Successor
A person who will succeed another person in a given position. Some companies work with the idea that in certain key positions, there should always be a successor to the person who currently holds the position.
T
Talent grid
A matrix where employees are placed according to how they are assessed on results and potential. Employees are placed in the matrix as low, middle or high performers.
Talent assessment
An assessment of employees to track their development and potential. For example, parameters such as mobility, flexibility, performance, communication, etc. can be assessed. Some companies work with special talent programs where participants are followed particularly closely.
Team
A group of people working together towards the same goal within the same framework. Teams are often more fluid than fixed departments and can be established and disbanded more flexibly than departments. Teams often cross departments to bring together skills to solve a given task.
The new normal
A term that is widely used after Covid 19 with lockdown. Covers hybrid forms of work, asynchronous work, etc.
Fixed-term position
A position that an employee is employed in and that expires on a certain date.
Fixed-term employment
An employment contract that expires on a predetermined date.
Transformation
Change process, transformation, transformation of e.g. the organization or certain tasks. The word transformation is often used in connection with the introduction of new technology.
